Two more national parks have resumed services for tourists to spend a day, but not overnight stays.

After the recent easing of travel measures amid Covid-19, almost half of the 155 national parks are open, including Erawan National Park in Kanchanaburi and Pang Sida National Park in Sa Kaeo.

Located in Sri Sawat district in Kanchanaburi, Erawan National Park is among the top-earning national parks, generating about 60 million baht in revenue last year. The park covers an area of 550km² and is a popular attraction of the province due to its easy access to the scenic Erawan Waterfalls.

The falls comprise seven levels. Each level has a natural pond where visitors can have a dip. Visitors are required to wear a life jacket before swimming in the lagoon.

The park also has two caves including Phra That and Wang Badan.

Day-trippers can visit the park until 4.30pm.

Meanwhile, Pang Sida National Park, which has also reopened, covers an area of 844km² across three districts of Sa Kaeo and one district in Prachin Buri.

Its attractions include the Pang Sida waterfall, trails and spots where visitors can observe swarms of butterflies. Although the park has reopened, visitors must take caution when visiting waterfalls during the rainy season.
